USCIS just issued another update -- as of May 21, 2010, they have received approximately 19,600 H-1B visa petitions subject to the regular cap plus another 8,200 petitions approximately subject to the master's/advanced degree cap.
Still plenty of visas left, as the demand is trickling slowly, but it is there -- about 600-1000 visas per week.

USCIS UPDATES H-1B CAP COUNT FOR MAY 14, 2010 -- AT 19,000
As of May 14, 2010, approximately 19,000 H-1B cap-subject petitions were receipted by USCIS. Additionally, USCIS has receipted 8,100 H-1B petitions for applicants with advanced degrees. Still plenty of visas left, although there was an increase of over 1,000 applications in a few days. Interesting... we'll have to continue to monitor whether it's related to economic recovery or a fluke...

USCIS just issues notification that as of May 11, 2010, approximately 18,000 H-1B petitions subject to the regular cap plus 7,600 against the master's and advanced degree cap. Still plenty of numbers left.

USCIS UPDATES H-1B CAP COUNT FOR APRIL 27 -- AT 16,500
USCIS issued its weekly H-1B cap update -- as of April 27, 2010, 16,500 H-1B petitions were received that are cap-subject for the regular cap plus 6,900 H-1B petitions for applicants with U.S. advanced degrees under the master's or higher degree cap.
